For woollen fabrics manufacturing, Dollfus & Muller is supplying decatizing felts with silicone or not, satin fabrics, steamer transport belts, decatizing exit belts and vigoureux printing sleeves.
The Dollfus & Muller endless felts are used on these machines. The woven woollen fabrics need to be decatized in order to obtain good dimensional stability and handle. The fabric passes between two felts under hot temperature and steam atmosphere. One of them, the product FINROLL, acts as a conveyor which carries the fabric inside the machine. The second is a heat shrinkable sleeve also called polyester jacket which fits on a perforated steaming drum. Both felts are necessary to improve the handle of the fabric.
The Dollfus & Muller silicone felts are used on high pressure continuous decatizing machines. The woven woollen fabric is carried into the machine and strongly pressed against a hot cylinder. This mechanical action creates saturated steam which is necessary for the finishing of the woollen fabric. The silicone layer acts as an impermeable shield, so that the steam is almost completely applied on the fabric. This kind of finishing gives a high dimensional stability and a very good handle to the processed fabric.
These felts are used on the following decatizing machines : M-TEC (Menschner, Hemmer, Bejitec), Sperotto, Kettling & Braun, Bisio, Biella Shrunk Process, …

The Dollfus & Muller satin wrappers are used on the KD machines during wool processing. The woollen fabric is wrapped with the satin fabric around a steam heated drum in lengths from 200 up to 1000 m. In most cases this roll goes into an autoclave, also called KD, for around a 15-20 minutes cycle, and is unwrapped afterwards. The combination of the high pressure steam atmosphere and this decatizing satin gives a good handle to the fabric.
Dollfus & Muller is manufacturing as well the exit belts for the KD decatizers.
These wrappers and exit belts are used on the following machines : KD Biella Shrunk Process, TMT, Gessner, Moers, Singer, …

The Dollfus & Muller conveyor belts are used in order to convey the woollen fabrics inside these machines. This steamer improves handle and creates shrinkage to the woollen fabrics using steam. The steamer belts can also be used at the exit of the discontinuous and continuous decatizing machines as a decatizor exit belt, in order to assist the fabric to exit the machine and to be cooled.
These conveyor belts are used on the following machines : Sperotto, KD Biella Shrunk Process, Stalam, Krantz,…
