During this process, the hide is conveyed on blades fitted cylinders which stretches and smoothen the hide before going through two felts which are removing the moisture excess. The continuous setting out machines also called through feed setting out machines, have always 4 pressure cylinders, Dollfus & Muller manufactures the MVC4 felts, PRC4 felts as well as the PCR 4 felts.
Dollfus & Muller setting out felts have a special surface treatment which optimizes the stretching effect.
These continuous setting out felts are used on the following machines : Bauce MVC 4 and PRC4, Escomar PCR4
