The DOLLFUS & MULLER felts are used on sammying machines. At this stage the hide needs to be evacuated from its surplus of water.

DOLLFUS & MULLER felts allow an immediate and homogeneous dewatering. The hide runs between two felts under high pressure applied by strong cylinders (up to 6 cylinders). DOLLFUS & MULLER felts are resistant to high pressure, easy to guide for a quick running start and allow an easy maintenance. The sammying felts are also available in black color for a reliable infrared surface measuring.


ESCO felts can be provided in various fibers mixes (100% synthetic or 70% synthetic / 30% wool) and in various weights (from 7,5 Kg/m² to 9 Kg/m²). This wide range allows to provide one adequate solution for each leather process :

vegetal or chromium tanning,

crust, sides or full hides,

buffalo, goat, pig skins…

after dying or retanning sammying.
