Fluidization fabrics for plaster transport

Other industries

AIRCO fluidization fabrics from Dollfus & Muller are used for bulk transport of plaster to ensure smooth loading and unloading of trucks (silo), trains (wagon) and ships. They can be used for silo unloading, mixing, storage, distribution and bulk transport of plaster.

The choice of weave type and yarns used in the manufacture of the various fluidization meshes in the AIRCO range ensures precise, uniform air porosity. An appropriate weave structure regulates the flow of air through the fabric. Depending on whether the structure is loose, medium or dense, the air flow will be high, medium or low. The porosity limits thus determined by the weave structure will ensure that only a precise volume of air under a defined amount of water column passes through the fluidization fabric.

The type of construction of the AIRCO fluidization fabric is chosen after taking into account the characteristics of the gypsum powder to be conveyed, such as :

  • moisture content
  • temperature
  • grain size

This choice can be confirmed by a simple test carried out by the Dollfus & Muller laboratory on 1 KG of powder.

AIRCO fluidization fabrics are manufactured by DOLLFUS & MULLER to meet specific customer requirements. They can be cut in our workshops to the desired dimensions (air slides) or on the basis of drawings for, for example, the manufacture of bottoms. They offer the following features

  • constant air permeability over the entire surface, to avoid dead zones and holes, and ensure perfect mixing
    smooth surface, dimensional stability,
  • low clogging
  • high abrasion resistance,
  • high warp and weft rupture strength.
