Dollfus & Muller's fluidization fabrics, called AIRCO, are ideal for transporting alumina: many electrolysis plants use them on their air slides. They facilitate the transport of alumina into silos, electrolysis tanks, filter fluidization bottoms and distribution boxes.
Dollfus & Muller fluidization fabrics are renowned for their low porosity. AIRCO 4401, for example, was developed years ago specifically for certain processes at Aluminium Pechiney AP.
AIRCO 4402, the other well-known fluidization fabrics grade, has a higher porosity for standard aluminum smelting processes.
The structure of Dollfus & Muller 's fluidization fabrics is identical at every point on the fabrics, ensuring ideal, homogeneous fluidization of the alumina.
The very low porosity of AIRCO 4401 quality reduces production costs and ecological impact through lower energy requirements. In addition, air slides are shorter.
Dollfus & Muller's AIRCO fluidization fabrics can also be used in other industrial metal production processes, such as copper.
